she/her
Anna is currently completing her PsyD in Clinical Psychology at Pacific University. She works with adults and enjoys supporting clients as they navigate anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, grief, and major life transitions.
Anna hopes to create a therapy space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves and where there is room to slow down, feel understood, and explore what’s really going on. Her role is to work alongside clients to better understand what they are experiencing and support them in moving toward the changes they want to make.
Her primary therapeutic orientation is Family Systems Therapy. She believes that people don’t experience life in isolation and that relationships, families, communities, and other systems can have a meaningful impact on how we see ourselves and move through the world. In therapy, she may explore patterns within relationships, expectations clients have carried, boundaries, communication, and experiences from their family of origin. She is also interested in how cultural and systemic factors shape our experiences and the ways we understand ourselves.
Anna works with people who are used to being the ones who have it all together. Clients may be successful and high-performing on the outside while feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck on the inside. They may be navigating a difficult transition, recovering from a painful experience, or simply recognizing that the ways they have been managing things are no longer working. Wherever a client is starting from, she hopes to create a space where they don’t have to have everything figured out before walking through the door.
She believes therapy is a collaborative process and that meaningful change can come from better understanding ourselves, our relationships, and the patterns we have developed along the way. She values meeting each client as a whole person and working together to identify both the challenges they are facing and the strengths they already have.
When she’s not at work, Anna especially enjoys summers in the Pacific Northwest at the river and picking warm blackberries. She also enjoys crafts, camping, reading, and spending time with her cats and her golden retriever.
Anna feels fortunate to do work that allows her to connect with people and hear the stories that have shaped them. She recognizes that beginning therapy can take a lot of courage, particularly for people who are used to handling things on their own. She hopes to create a space where clients feel respected, supported, and able to show up as their whole selves.
